Dan Teefey joined the Tracy Family Foundation staff in 2017 after serving as an attorney in Chicago, IL, and a pastor of a church in West Lafayette, IN for ten years. Dan proudly began his career in Mt. Sterling, Illinois as a horse stall cleaner at the Brown County fairgrounds. No matter the role, Dan is passionate about mobilizing people and resources to make the world a better place.
As President, Dan is responsible for guiding the execution of the foundation’s strategic plan, managing our staff team, and ensuring the foundation’s values and culture honor the legacy of RT and Dorothy Tracy.
Dan is married to Dana, a public-school teacher, and they have four children. They live in Quincy, Illinois. Dan holds a B.A. in Speech Communication and Political Science from the University of Illinois, a J.D. from the Northern Illinois University College of Law, and an M.Div. from North Park Theological Seminary.
